How to Join the ISSC

You can join the Supporters Club for just £5 per season and become part of our active group that have earned Ipswich Speedway the reputation of having the country’s best supporters. Season Tickets holders automatically receive membership, but for everyone else, an application form can be downloaded by clicking on the link to the left of this page, alternatively, call in at the Supporters Club Lounge on a meeting day or contact Peter Thorpe on 01473 713335. Please note: membership renewal letters are not sent, so don’t forget to renew at the start of each season!

The Supporters Club organise coach trips to many of the Witches away meetings, and to major speedway events. They also organise regular social events both during and out of season. Watch out for announcements on here, on our Facebook page and at the stadium!

Club members receive discounts on supporters club trips, end of season dinner dance tickets and are also entitled to discounts with local companies:

BOOTS PLC - Tavern Street Ipswich
Boots offer 10% discount on all fragrances from their Fine Fragrance department. Further details from Heather Lay (01473 256525)

HUGHES Electrical - all stores in Ipswich, Colchester, Felixstowe and Stowmarket offer a 5% discount on all major purchases and 10% on accessories.

400 Club

The 400 Club was set up in 1996 to help provide funds for the ‘Save Our Speedway’ campaign. This was supported by MP Jamie Cann and the Ipswich Evening Star and helped to ensure the continuance of speedway at Foxhall when it looked as if crippling stadium rent increases would force the club to close. The 400 Club continues to provide the club with valuable financial help with 50% of the income received being donated to the S.O.S. fund. Members pay a monthly payment of £5 either by cash or standing order.

The monthly prize details are as follows:

  • First prize: £250 + a pit walk, meet some of the riders and watch the first race from the centre green where your cheque will be presented.
  • Second prize: £60 (this amount will vary depending on the number of entrants in each monthly draw).
  • Four consolation prizes of £25

All winners will be announced on here, over the tannoy, in the Supporters Club hut and in the meeting programme. So if you want to help support the Witches why not join in time for the next monthly draw. Calling All Junior Witches Fans!

If you are 15 or under and would like to take part in meeting competitions and also have a chance to be chosen as a meeting mascot then come and join the Junior Witches for just £6. The meeting mascot will get to meet their favourite Witches rider and have their photograph taken with them. You also get to toss the coin to decide the gate positions, have a photograph taken with the two team captains, see a race from the centre green and ride round on the victory parade at the end of the meeting.
